Dear Sirs,

I am an existing BSNL Landline and Broadband customer. I had taken up the service in last week of February'2011. When you use a service, you pay for it but here i am paying for not using the service most of the time and sometime for interrupted service. When i had opted for the service, uninterrupted service was promised. I know exceptions are always there. But let me tell you it has been an heights of exceptions and also it has increased my frustration level very high.

The service is worst since the beginning.
There was an offer of 15 days of unlimited downloading for the new customers who had taken the broadband connection before 31st of May'2011. The same thing was intimated to me but later when i got the 1st bill, it was around Rs.1600, of-course the 15 days unlimited offer was not adjusted in my bill. I had to go to Commercial Section for the updation. The strange thing was the person who told me about the 15 days unlimited offer refused to accept the same and referred me to account section. After wasting 15 days for that 15 days unlimited offer, that got adjusted in my bill.

It was a great problem for the SDO to provide me uninterrupted Landline and broadband service, since the beginning. The SDO was been called up every 1 or 2 days to get the line corrected. Then he used his brain and separated the phone line and the broadband line. I thought, now it would work fine. Actually it did for 1 or 2 week. Again it started giving problem and this time the problem was different. Earlier the phone line or the broadband line used to go down for 2-3 complete days but now... when it goes... it goes every 5-10 minutes and it continues for 2-3 and maximum 4 days. When the same was discussed with SDO, he said your broadband line is given from BTS( i don't know what BTS is...) The AC went down and the BTS room became very hot. That could be a reason for the interrupted broadband service. He also said Nobody stays there in BTS and he came to know about the AC incident after 3 days when i complained for the broadband service. SDO really wants to provide me uninterrupted service and for that he does all what he can do.

Every month when i get my bill, i go to SDO for the rebate certificate. Last month i did the same. I took the rebate certificate for april month bill and went to account section and get the thing done in the bill. I paid the final amount suggested by the account officer and thought the outstanding has become Zero. After 1 month when i get May month bill, i found an outstanding amount of Rs.270, which was the rebate in my April month bill. Again i went to SDO for the rebate certificate as he is aware of the bad service which i am getting. I took the same and went to the same officer and asked about the outstanding. The reply was amazing and truly disgusting. He said, " after i had given you the waiver, i found some usage on that day and due to which the rebate was not adjusted."

I thought i am not talking to the right person or i could not convince him. Then i went to the account officer who actually approves all the rebate stuffs. According to him, there is some circular and according to that, if there is a minute of broadband usage, the customer will be charged for the complete day, in-spite of having a complaint lodged for the interrupted service. He could not show me that circular after insisting him a lot.

The account officer Mr. E.R Pradhan is a gentleman but he does not the feeling of the customer.He might have not heard the Phrase "Customer Service". Mr Pradhan asked me to get a letter from the SDO stating the Rental waiver of the given date in rebate certificate. When SDO agreed for the same, Mr.Pradhan turned off. May God help him achieving something in his life.

SDO Mr. Tapna is a gentleman and doing his job from the ground level but never shown me his attitude. He is trying to satisfy me with his prompt service. He uses to sit 4-5 hours a day in my house just to catch the problem and sort it out.


My problem is when i am not using the service, why should i pay for the same. If i am getting 30 mins of service in a day, why should i pay for day. If you wanna charge me... charge me for the usage time or for the service provided time. you can't charge me for a day when i am getting a service of just 30 mins or 2hrs.

Requesting your kind help in this issue as my last month bill is pending and i don't want BSNL people to stop my connection.

Help me in getting the rebate.......

Find the attachment of last month Bill, rebate certificate and this month bill where the rebate is not adjusted.
